As Tom Price checks in for his final taxpayer-funded flight home to Atlanta, NARAL members in Georgia know that our work continues
In response to the resignation of Tom Price, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, NARAL Pro-Choice Georgia State Director Laura Simmons released the following statement:
“As Tom Price checks in for his final taxpayer-funded flight home to Atlanta, NARAL members in Georgia know that our work continues as we fight to ensure access to basic healthcare. Price may be out of office, but his out-of-touch agenda lives on in the likenesses of Karen Handel and Donald Trump. While they have been unsuccessful in their repeated attempts to take away healthcare from millions of Americans, Price’s former colleagues will be right back at it next week as the Republican House rushes to ban abortion nationwide after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Women and families across Georgia have been fighting against Tom Price and the GOP’s narrow-minded agenda and ideological attacks on our healthcare for decades and we won’t stop now.”
NARAL Pro-Choice America and its network of state affiliates are dedicated to protecting and expanding reproductive freedom for all Americans. NARAL works to guarantee that every woman has the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. In recognition of its work defending our constitutional right to choose, Fortune Magazine described NARAL as “one of the top 10 advocacy groups in America.”
