Last Thursday, NARAL Pro-Choice America and NARAL Pro-Choice Georgia hosted a forum to discuss how to increase access to reproductive freedom in the state of Georgia, featuring Candidate for Georgia Governor, Stacey Abrams.
Ilyse Hogue, the President of NARAL Pro-Choice America, discussed the importance of building a feminist future in the South, saying: “The kind of transformational change we need in the country has to come through and resonate in the South. That’s why Georgia and the South are so important.”
After the event, Stacey Abrams, Candidate for Georgia Governor, shared what motivates her to work for reproductive freedom. “I am committed to standing with you in this fight. We are driven by the same belief: That the fight will not be won by the other side because we have a fundamental right to determine what happens to our bodies and our futures.”
NARAL Pro-Choice America and its network of state affiliates are dedicated to protecting and expanding reproductive freedom for all Americans. NARAL works to guarantee that every woman has the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. In recognition of its work defending our constitutional right to choose, Fortune Magazine described NARAL as “one of the top 10 advocacy groups in America.”
