Georgia’s General Assembly
NARAL Pro-Choice Georgia is dedicated to having champions for reproductive freedom at every level of government —from city council, to the Gold Dome, to Congress. As a state chapter, NARAL Pro-Choice Georgia is primarily focused on impacting policy at the state level.
Georgia’s General Assembly is a bicameral body, consisting of the of the Senate, with 56 members, and House of Representatives, with 180 members. Each of the General Assembly’s 236 members serve two-year terms and are directly elected by constituents of their district. The Assembly is in session annually, lasting no more than 40 days each year.
